October 15, 2011NMTA State FestivalStudents receiving Superior rating and 60 % Theory score in the District Festival can advance to the State Festival. in the fall.
November 12, 2011Fall Festival of Contemporary Piano MusicStudents must have 2 years of lesson to participate. Students must perform two memorized selections, one comtempory and second from the standard piano repertoire. Students receive a critique, no rating, ribbon with music pin.
January 21, 2012OMTA Fun FairAll students have a chance to earn ribbons, rosette, and trophies
February 26, 2012Composition Premier RecitalStudents submit their original pieces and are celebrated in a recital
March 04, 2012Jacobsen Studio RecitalAll students are required to perform
March 10, 2012OMTA Young Artists CompetitionSerious Elementary, Junior, & Senior High students willing to work hard. Cash awards
March 17, 2012Nebraska Federation Music Clubs-Junior FestivalTwo memorized pieces, one form a required list and on choice piece. Students receive a certificate and points toward Gold Cups.
April 21, 2012OMTA Trophy FestivalTwo memorized pieces and theory tests. Students receive trophies for superior, excellent & good ratings.
April 28, 2012District FestivalTwo memorized pieces, theory, ear training and sight-reading. Trophy & Medal awards
May 21, 2012Lessons EndLessons end for the school year and resume in June.
June 11, 2012Summer Lessons Students are offered 6 to 8 weeks of lessons in the summer Lessons end on July 27.
July 20-21, 2012Nebraska Music Summer OlympicsTwo memorized pieces - one required and on choice piece. Trophy & Medal awards
 
 

 

Studio Calendar Dates printable

State Festival Students who received an excellent or superior rating and scored at least 50% on their tests at District.
OMTA Composition Recital Young student composers perform their own original works in a special composition recital.
Music Fun Fair All students have a chance to earn ribbons, rosettes, and trophies.
Composition Contest Student’s original composition.
Nebraska Federation of Music A Junior Festival for all ages.  Two memorized pieces – one from a required list, and one choice piece.
Trophy Festival

Two memorized pieces and theory test.  Each student receives a rating and trophy with rating on it.

Jacobsen Studio Recital All students are required to perform. 
Young Artist Competition Elementary, Junior, and Senior High students willing to work hard.  Cash awards.
District Festival Two memorized pieces, theory test, ear training, and sight-reading.  Need to have an excellent or superior rating to go on to State.
Nebraska Summer Music Olympics Two memorized pieces – one required and one choice piece.
